Mental Health Counselling

Experienced Mental Health Counsellor Adelaide

Anxiety, depression and stress are some of the most common mental health illnesses in Australia. Many people often delay seeking help, hoping that the problem will just go away. However, the earlier you seek help the better, as the longer mental health issues are left untreated the worse it can get. With the fast pace of life and constant demands placed upon us, sometimes, we need a little extra help to deal with the stresses, strains and challenges of life. That’s where I can step in and help. I will take the time to listen to and understand your unique situation; I will help and support you with a tailored therapy plan designed to guide you back on your path to a happier and more fulfilled daily life.

What to expect

During the initial consultation, I will seek an understanding of your goals and expectations for therapy. I will work with you to help you gain an understanding of the difficulties that you are experiencing and generate a flexible treatment plan that will help move you towards your goals.

Your wellbeing is my priority. My initial goal is to help provide support and relief, then, as the sessions progress, we will work through various different techniques to give you the tools, skills and strategies to help you move towards a happier and more contented way of life.

Private and Medicare Patients

As an accredited Mental Health Clinician, I can help you as a private patient or through the Medicare system with a referral from a GP or psychiatrist.  Medicare patients can usually access my services as part of a Mental Health Plan.  A Mental Health Plan enables patients to get up to 10 therapy sessions per calendar year which attract a Medicare rebate.  Check with your GP to see if you are eligible for a Mental Health Plan.
